As there are several methods of treating unwanted hair, to obtain the best advice for your case we suggest that you make an appointment for a consultation in our salon with one of our professional Beauty Therapists. This service is confidential, free of charge and without obligation. It gives us the opportunity of examining your problem, discussing the various options with you and answering your queries. In the meantime you may find the following information useful.
For permanent removal of unwanted hair, Electrolysis is the most successful treatment. In this salon it is performed with the latest equipment and finest needles. It is not entirely painless but the greatest care is taken in ensuring that the treatment is suitable to the clients needs. During the initial consultation, three or more hairs are treated as a free trial to assess which method of Eloctrolysis best suits the individual client.

We take particular care to ensure the strictest hygeiene standards are adhered to per government regulations. Our needles are of the highest quality and disposable, a new needle is used for each client and every treatment performed.

One UNIT of electrolysis takes up to thirty minutes, and in this time up to 80 hairs may be removed. The cost is $39.00 per unit. A ½ UNIT may take up to fifteen minutes and the cost is $23.00. A minimum charge of $12.00 applies to those clients only requiring a few hairs to be removed. Electrolysis can be used to permanently remove unwanted hair from most parts of the body, including the face, stomach, around the nipples, bikini line and the longer hairs of the arms and legs.

Once a particular hair has been properly treated by electrolysis that hair cannot ever grow again. However there are several factors that have to be taken into consideration in assessing the amount of treatment needed.
One can normally expect a regrowth of around 10%, due to statistical variation of root depth and direction. This means that of every 100 hairs treated roughly 10 may reappear and need to be treated again, because not all of the root tissue was treated the first time.

If the hairs have been shaved, tweezed or waxed, the regrowth rate is likely to be higher due to the distortion of the follicle and damage to the roots making them quite deep and twisted. Note that some of the hairs may take up to two months to reappear after temporary removal, and if electrolysis has been commenced in the meantime, these hairs may be mistaken for regrowth when they appear. Superfluous hair is often due to a slight hormonal imbalance. As long as such a condition exists, new hairs may be produced from time to time. These can be cleared up in supplementary treatments when necessary. Electrolysis only acts on the individual hairs and cannot affect the hormone balance.

We hope this information is of assistance to you, and look forward to helping you in any way we can. Please be assured of courteous and friendly attention and the highest possible standard of service.
